Taylor vs Linardatou: Katie Taylor’s opponent vents anger over rematch clause before world title fight

A row on a rematch clause ahead of the WBO struggle interrupted katie Taylor’s press conference together with Christina Linardatou.
The Irish celebrity is stepping up a division to challenge WBO champion Linardatou in Manchester Arena on November 2, live on Sky Sports, however the Greek fighter’s staff were quick to voice their anger about not being provided an immediate return bout if the titleholder suffers defeat.
The supervisor Brian Cohen of linardatou suggested that a rematch was included by Taylor’s arrangement and wanted to know why his boxer failed to get the same terms.
“When you visit your fighter get off an aeroplane at tears, and that I know it’s actually light-hearted in this, I am sorry to bring down the energy,” explained Cohen.
“She’s not happy, she is a champion, as if you mentioned, we were still negotiating for quite a while and she just feels like the champion that she should have a rematch clause in the contract”
Taylor’s promoter Eddie Hearn quickly responded:”You’re that worried about losing already?”
Cohen continued:”You have a rematch clause if she beats her, but not if [Taylor] beats [Linardatou], right? Are you worried? No, so why do you not set the rematch in?”
Hearn replied:”We are not worried, we have got you.”
Linardatou also seemed to express her frustration however, insisted she wasn’t worried about defeat.
“We’ve been anticipating this match for quite a while, but under various conditions or circumstances,” said Linardatou. “However, at any rate, I will go ahead with this match.”
“I really don’t have any problem, I’m not terrified of losing my belt. I’m only getting in the ring and offer all my best, and that is what I am going to do always, so I am here.”
Taylor stayed respectful towards her competition, rather focusing after becoming lightweight winner in June.
“This really is a huge chance for me to become a two-weight world winner as a history maker for me and my country,” explained Taylor. “I’m very, very conscious of the challenge that Christina bringsin.
“I do believe that she’s the top 140lbs at the division and I cannot wait for a very, very exciting struggle.”

Charles Leclerc says Italian GP win beyond all his Ferrari dreams

Charles Leclerc has admitted that the Italian GP and the wild celebrations that followed surpassed all of his youth dreams, with all Ferrari hero hailed as a’national treasure’ after his stunning victory.
Leclerc was roared on throughout his epic drive in Ferrari’s home race after a huge twist of emotion upon the flag, the 21-year-old was greeted by a sea of crimson and the famed Tifosi as he stepped to the podium since the Scuderia’s original Monza race-winner because 2010.
Leclerc, a self-proclaimed Ferrari fan from age five, grew up dreaming about winning races from crimson – but nothing prepared him for this.
“It has gone beyond all the dreams I’d had as a kid,” said Leclerc. “To see all of the people for a single group, singing completely – it is awesome.
“I have never been on a podium with all these people under it and to understand that the whole straight was full of folks – 99 percent red – it was great to see. Hearing them singing… there was just a lot of emotions.”
Leclerc was heralded after his Monza masterclass, together with the child since then, and Lewis Hamilton Valtteri Bottas, threw everything to acquire past withstanding a Mercedes barrage.
Even Mercedes boss Toto Wolff insisted”Ferrari have an impending great.”
Leclerc confessed his defence from Hamilton was”really about the limit”, but also that he’d do anything to not let this opportunity pass. A Ferrari driver in addition to the podium in front of the Tifosi is one of the amazing scenes of F1, also Leclerc understandably found it tough to stay concentrated in this race’s closing stages.
“Over the last two laps I started to see in the grandstand that there was really a lot of agitation, which each one of the fans were jumping,” he explained.
“So yeah, I had been telling myself’quit looking at the grandstand, look at the monitor, focus on what you are doing as a motorist and then you can enjoy whatever there’s out.’
“However, it was rather tricky to remain focused on driving, seeing just how much movement there was at the grandstand.”
Leclerc added to Sky F1:”It’s the first time in my career I actually look at the grandstand whilst driving, which is normally not so great but I simply had no option.
“They were simply jumping and cheering all race long, it was great to see. Just to win here feels very, very special.”
The Ferrari victory of leclerc did earn praise from fans, fans and team bosses – but also from Italy’s newspapers on Monday.
He was heralded by la Gazzetta dello Sport as a’national treasure’.
Corriere dello Sport crowned’king’ Leclerc, while also claiming the age had started.
Leclerc became the second-youngest driver at Ferrari’s history when he joined this year following a dazzling rookie season in F1 and said wins such as Monza showed he was”more prepared than some folks thought”.
“It’s not been an easy start to the summer, there has been a few errors,” he told reporters on Sunday night. “However, I believe I have grown.
“I understood that the critics of last yearI being too young. Second season in Ferrari and also in Formula 1 was early, for sure.
“I thank Ferrari for believing me. I’m very pleased to have these types of results to show I was more ready than some people believed.

9 Game of Thrones Prop Bets You Can Still Profit From at Bovada

Game of Thrones returned because of its 8th and last season on Sunday night. It did not disappoint, as HBO’s enormous hit series showcased a litany of highly anticipated reunions as well as some revelations.
Continue reading at your own peril, since this post contains Game of Thrones spoilers if you have not seen most of the show and particularly the very first episode of the new year.
There were a few touching moments such as Jon Snow seeing sister Arya Stark for the first time since the passing of their father. There was an embarrassing one with essentially nobody in Winterfell understanding how to get their new queen, Daenerys.
Then there was the closing moment, and in case you haven’t caught up to the point, I’ll spare you out of a naturally spoiler. It is a fun one, however, and surely bleeds into episode two and beyond.
We’re already running out of time to begin tying up loose ends and to close this narrative without it feeling rushed, yet there’s so much to cover.
Nothing too crazy happened in episode one, besides Jon Snow learning he is the true heir to the Iron Throne. Snow hasn’t always been the fastest to pick up things, but I must think he soon figures out that way Daenerys is his aunt.
And, yeah.
But beyond some meetings and a few crucial news being relayed, we did not advance the narrative too much. I am certain that calls for a fairly volatile episode three, but with this much ground to cover, I have to think a slew of Game of Thrones prop bets will begin blowing up before our very eyes.
Several still stand strong at Bovada, however. That’s true for wagers you’ve already set, but little really occurred in episode one there are still a lot of Game of Thrones chances at Bovada to get wagers you may hop on right now.
Let us go over the top ones, their odds, and how you might want to wager on them.
Cersei Lannister Prop Bets
Queen Cersei appeared in episode one, and she didn’t die. She did remain absolutely dreadful, however.
In fact, she tightened her marriage with Euron Greyjoy greater than ever, as two of the most hated Game of Thrones characters got married at the biblical sense.
This was gross to see, but it may have tied both at the hip, and I am not sure what that means for their future.
When Can Cersei Die?
That will make you wonder if Queen Cersei will meet her demise. It is hard to eliminate such a powerful and impactful character in any way, not as early in the final season.
Still, just five episodes remain in one of the greatest tv shows ever, and no personality is too important to be spared. Notably one loathed as much as Cersei.
Bovada asks when she will meet the gods, whether they’re the new or the old.
Episode 5 or 6 -500 Episode 4 or 3 +400 Does Not Mean +550 Episode 1 or 2 two +5000
We’re really just getting started here, along with the trajectory of this series might actually be going in the opposite order I expected it to. With the Night King’s army quickly moving towards Winterfell, it’s quite possible the humans might need to win the war against the deceased and then worry about Cersei and some of the deadly enemies.
If that’s true, I don’t see how Cersei dies before the conclusion of the collection. There’s a small chance she is only taken prisoner for all her evil deeds, but I expect the good men to win in the end.
It doesn’t offer a whole lot of betting value, but it does not mean it’s the wrong play.

Nicky Henderson yet to commit to plans for Altior

Nicky Henderson has Cautioned plans are fluid for Altior amid talk of a Battle with Cyrname in the Christy 1965 Chase at Ascot at November.

Paul Nicholls had verified the latter had been on target for its Berkshire showpiece in his Owners’ Open Day on Sunday but writing in his website for Unibetthe Seven Barrows trainer said:”I’d like to make it very clear that nothing is set in stone about what he will do. Following a brief chat with Patricia Pugh (proprietor on Sunday) we shall most likely sit down again in the very close to future and make a decision about which route we choose.
“It was exactly the same a few years back when we had to decide whether to remain hurdling and target for your Unibet Champion Hurdle or go newcomer pursuing, but I think that it’s reasonable to say we’ve made the ideal choice on that front!
“All of us know how good Altior is both miles and I guess you could say if we’re the very best at one thing, why alter it? But I personally think he’s searching for the following half a mile in which case we have to start thinking about is your King George?
“I’ve got a huge amount of admiration for Cyrname and I am not afraid to take him with Altior, but it’s by no means sure they will meet in the Ascot Chase as many have indicated and there’s no doubt we will do what’s ideal for the horse.
“Altior is back at Seven Barrows and cantering away nicely so everything is going well and when we’ve made a decision about where he will start his season, I will let you know!”
